Submit a request for Parking Suspension

If you are applying for a parking bay suspension as a business, please ensure you have ready your purchase order reference, if this information is not provided it may delay your application.

• The fee for each suspension of bays in all areas is £110.
• Thanet District Council will also charge for loss of earnings in Pay and Display bays; charged at the hourly rate for the duration of the required suspension.
• For bays within a time limited area there will be a charge of £11 per bay per day.

While the suspension is in place if cones or barriers are required it is the responsibility of the contractor to place these. Thanet District Council does not provide these for suspended areas.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of seven days notice is legally required for Thanet District Council to suspend a parking bay. We should receive your application 14 clear days prior to the start of the requested suspension (except in emergencies). If you require an extension to a existing Suspensions a further application will need to be submitted with a minimum of 5 working days to enable the Council to take any appropriate action to indicate the continuance of the suspension. Further costs will need to be agreed before the suspension is placed.
