Sell a property to the council

About this form

Please use this form to register interest in selling your property to the council. You will need to provide your contact details and a brief description of the property so that we can consider your application.

Once submitted, a member of the Housing Department’s Strategy & Projects Team will review the information. We aim to respond within two weeks and will contact you during office hours.

This form will ask you to provide:

• Your name
• Your contact details
• Information about the property

The information provided in the sell a property to the council form will be used solely by the council for the purposes of collecting contact details for anyone wishing to sell their property to the council. We will use this data to contact you for further information. We will ensure that all the information you provide is stored securely and in accordance with data protection law.

Eligibility Criteria Not Met

Thank you for your interest. We do not acquire properties with tenants in situ. To be considered for acquisition, the property must be either owner-occupied or empty. If you have a tenant who may be at risk of homelessness, please consider completing an online  Landlord Liaison Referral form

Thank you for your interest. We are currently only acquiring properties where Thanet District Council will secure 100% of the freehold interest. Because your property does not meet this criteria, you cannot proceed with this submission.
