Please complete this form if you wish to become a safe space in the community.

To become a member of night shield you will need to comply with the following:

  • Register via our online form
  • Provide your public liability insurance on registration
  • There must be one location in your venue identified as a safe area, but use of an alternative area is acceptable if the situation is not too serious
  • Have at least 2 members of staff on the premises at all times
  • Follow the step by step guide when a person enters the premises, and;
  • Support the person in contacting an emergency contact
  • Contact the relevant emergency services if injured or a victim of crime
  • Allow the person to remain on the premises until safe to leave or until further help has arrived
  • In more serious cases the police or ambulance service may need contacting
  • Complete an incident report form but do not store or collect any data that would identify person(s)
  • Ensure all staff are aware of the scheme and are able to provide support to those in need by following the step by step guide.
