Complaints of graffiti are dealt with differently depending on whether the graffiti is obscene or not, or whether it is located on public or private land.
We are unable to clear graffiti on private land, but work with the owner to try and resolve. We also prioritise graffiti that is offensive. As a council we are unable to usually clear graffiti from private property. Obscene graffiti is prioritised.
We cannot remove graffiti from places such as bus shelters, railway bridges, phone boxes, post boxes or substations that do not belong to the council. To report graffiti on other property, please use one of the following numbers:
