Clinical waste collection

If you need a clinical waste collection, for example infectious waste, sharps waste (such as needles), cytotoxic (or bio hazardous) waste and offensive waste you will need to contact us with a referral from your doctor.  Collections can only take place once you have received confirmation from us that you have been accepted to the clinical collection list.

Use this form for all other clinical waste collection enquiries.

• Missed collection - the sharps box must be placed outside the front door by 6am on the collection day
• Request a collection
• Cancel a collection 

This form will ask you to provide the following information:

• Your details
• Enquiry type
• Location where collection is required
• Reason for cancellation, if applicable 

Please note:

• Sharps box collections take place weekly on a Thursday.

• Collections can only take place once you have received confirmation that you have been accepted to the clinical collection list.

• Clinical bag/yellow sacks - upon receipt of the GP/Medical professional letter, a confirmation letter will be sent advising that a weekly collection will be made and bags will be delivered when collections are made.  We do not arrange clinical bag collections.

• You will receive a call from the Waste and Recycling team within 7-10 days to arrange a date for collection.
